Say "Hi" from Space

Google+ Hangout

Hi Everyone,

National Geographic wanted to share some exciting news with you. On March 14 at 8 p.m. ET, they are going to take you around the world—literally—in a special two-hour television event called Live from Space. We'll be broadcasting live from the International Space Station and Mission Control in Houston, Texas. You've never seen our planet quite like this before.

In collaboration with NASA, we'll go into orbit with astronauts Rick Mastracchio and Koichi Wakata nearly 250 miles (402 kilometers) above the Earth's surface. Meanwhile, host Soledad O'Brien will join astronaut Mike Massimo on the ground at Mission Control. While you're watching the broadcast, we'd love for you to let us know what you think by using #LiveFromSpace on Twitter.

Do you want to say "hi" to the astronauts in person? Take a photo or video of yourself waving to the astronauts and share it on Instagram with #HelloFromEarth. If you need inspiration, see who's already said hello.

Don't forget to tune in to the National Geographic Channel on Friday, March 14, at
8 p.m. ET
to take part in this epic adventure. You won't want to miss this incredible show!
